SSC - Grading System For Tenth Class
The Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to change the way of evaluation for Tenth Class (SSC)
The core committee of Secondary Education in Andhra Pradesh proposed to remove the current evaluation system: First Class (60% marks), Second Class (50%) & Third Class (35%) and Fail.
The committee recommended a new Grading System for the students. In the new system, all the students who appear for SSC exams will be Graded in to 8 Grades.
Students who are in the top 12.5% of all the Qualified students, will be given A-1 Grade. The next 12.5% students will get A-2 and so on (B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, & D2). The students who are dis-qualified, will be given E grade.
In the old system, student who scored a 95% and the student who scored a 65% are both treated as a First Class student. But in the new scheme, there will be more granularity, as the Grades of the students will differ now.
This Grading System proposal is currently with the Chief Minister of AP. If it is approved, then a GO will be issued soon.
