Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the All India Medical Entrance Examination (AIPMT) for admission to MBBS/BDS Course, 2009; under the 15% merit positions in medical/dental colleges.

CBSE will fill the 15% merit seats in the medical/dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments and other local authorities, Except in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir

The examination will have two stages: A preliminary exam, followed by a Final Examination.

Eligibility
Students between the Age limit of 17 – 25
At least 50% marks in +2 Physics, Chemistry & Biology
(students appearing for their qualifying examination can also apply)

Maximum number of attempts that a student can take at Pre-Dental/Pre-Medical Examination is 3

Admission Process
Admissions are through a two stage Written Test

Final Examination: 10-May-2009
