The Union Public Service Commission (http://www.upsc.gov.in) announced the Civil Services Examination, 2009.
Vacancies in all India elite services viz. IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc. are filled through the Civil Services Examination.
Examination Process
The Civil Services Examination will be conducted in three stages:1. Preliminary, 2. Mains, 3. Personal Interview
Eligibility
Age between 21 to 30 years
Bachelor’s Degree from recognized university
Physically fit
Maximum attempts 4 for general category (7 for handicapped, OBC & Unlimited for SC/ST)
Entrance Test Date
The UPSC Civil Services Prelims Examination will be conducted on 17-May-2009
Application Fee
Rs 20/- for Application form. The form is available at Indian Post Offices.
The filled in application should be accompanies with 50/- fee in the form of central recruitment fee stamps
